The Follow is a Historical Account of Al Muqaddimah Al-Jazariyyah:

Ad-Dāni (d.

444 AH) wrote at-Tahdīd fī al-Itqān wa at-Tajwīd and a number of other works, including a commentary of Abū Muzāhim al-Khāqāni’s poem.

In the 4th century after the Hijrah a number of works were written outlining the issues of Tajwīd as distinct science.

However, the science of Tajwīd was taught orally with the Qur’ān before that; a student would recite the Qur’ān over and over again to his teacher until he attained proficiency in his recitation.
