• Born in Llangorse in Wales, Ceri is best known for his role as 'Beanpole' in the BBC TV series "The Tripods" (from whence the Profile picture on this page is taken).

  After this series was completed, he did not continue acting, but instead pursued a career as a schoolteacher. He also became a Buddhist. Devotees of "The Tripods" were shocked in 2002 when it was reported that he was dead.

  However, two years later he was able to report to his Tripods castmate Jim Baker that - despite the persistent rumours - he was still very much alive! In 2017-18 he was teaching English and Drama to secondary school pupils in England.
